It's time for the next cooking...well not so much a lesson as learning together and having an excuse to hang out together, right? Either way, Macaque is coming over today. He'd thought he remembered that they're doing shortcake and something for lunch. But he might have dreamed the shortcake part? He'll know for sure if Macaque turns up and says he doesn't like shortcake.
Speaking of dreams though, Esme has been feeling a lot lighter somehow lately. Like something's clicked more than usual. He mostly remembers cuddling with Macaque and feeling reassured by him being close. It's a nice feeling, so he's a little bit less nervously excited and a lot more just excited. And hungry, because food is in the plans.
He doublechecks everything, ingredients, clean dishes and utensils, cold drinks, boiling water for tea in case that's a better option today. Everything is good.
